Students were completing their Trees & Forests research assignment earlier today.  The students will be handing in their projects tomorrow.  Here is the assignment if students need to finish it tonight:

Trees & Forests Grade 6 Science:

Tree Research Project

For this assignment, you will be researching three deciduous trees and three coniferous trees.

For each tree, you will be finding out:

·      The type of leaf

·      Shape of leaf or needle

·      Margin type or arrangement of needles

·      Where does the tree usually grow?  (Location and climate)

·      What is the average life span of the tree?

·      2-3 interesting facts about the tree

You will also be drawing a colored picture of the trees
